Greensburg Central Catholic

The Award is given annually to a student at Greensburg Central Catholic High School in honor of Jamie Cordial Hall. Jamie, a Greensburg Central Catholic High School Alumnus, was well-known for her kindness, care, and compassion for fellow students during her years at Greensburg Central Catholic High School. She also continued her kind deeds throughout her life and helped so many people in need. We, her family, feel that it is important to carry on her legacy at Greensburg Central Catholic High School.  The Award will be given to the student who exhibits kindness, compassion, and empathy towards their other classmates, teachers and others in need in the community.

 

Besides the recognition for outstanding kindness, the Award will also have a monetary component which will be used to offset the student’s tuition for the next school year. For information on how to apply for the Award, please contact Greensburg Central Catholic High School directly.

 

2023

Congratulations to this year's recipient of the Kindness Award, Brianna Evans! Brianna will be a Junior at GCC Junior-Senior High School for the 2023-2024 school year.  The Latrobe PA resident is known for her compassionate, kind and welcoming heart.  In her free time, she enjoys performing in the arts (musicals and choirs) and playing volleyball. Lastly, she is very active in her church, where she cantors and participates in the musical ministry. Congratulations to Brianna and her family!

2022

Congratulations to this year's recipient of the Kindness Award, Bailey Brown! Bailey is an incoming senior at Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School for the 2022-2023 school year.  The Monessen PA resident is lauded by the teachers for her kindness to other students and faculty.  In addition to her good heart, she takes academics seriously, taking several honors and college courses (while in high school).  In her free time, Bailey is a cheerleader for Centurion athletic teams. 

 

2021

Tyler Neffield of Greensburg is the 2021 recipient of the Jamie Cordial Hall Kindness award.  Tyler, a future senior at Greensburg Central Catholic,  is known as a great student and is always willing to help others.  He goes above and beyond for both the faculty and his fellow students.  In addition to his strong academic performance, Tyler is involved in the fine arts department at GCC.  Tyler recently played Gomez Addams in the spring musical, The Addams Family.

2020

We are pleased to announce that 2020’s recipient of the Jamie Cordial Hall Kindness Award is Rachel Lewandowski. Rachel was recognized for academic excellence, a great work ethic, impressive community volunteerism and her involvement with the fine arts. Rachel will be a Senior at Greensburg Central Catholic High School where she cantors for school masses and is very polite and has an affable personality. Rachel is also an accomplished musician playing the violin for many school events and is very active in volunteering in her parish church of St. Johns in Latrobe. Congratulations, Rachel!

 

2019

The 2019  recipient of the Jamie Cordial Hall Kindness Award was Connor Petrunak. On May 28, 2019, Connor was recognized for academic excellence and a great work ethic, impressive community volunteerism and for his polite and affable personality. We wish you the best of luck in the years to come, Connor!
